Just as Kim Mathers, Eminem's ex-wife, has revealed how the rapper pushed her to suicide and infidelity, one of the star's protégés has revealed that the couple are engaged again.

Mathers revealed that she wanted to kill herself after the 'Lose Yourself' singer performed the song 'Kim' at a concert she attended.

The track details the star's fantasy of choking the mother of his daughter Hailie. Eminem had promised Kim he wouldn’t perform the son at a 2000 concert in their hometown of Detroit, she claimed. But he went back on his word.

"This is supposed to be a man that loves me, and is supposed to protect me, from being hurt, and here he is disrespecting me in the worst way possible in front of millions of people, and in front of our kids, my family, my friends," she said on TV program '20/20'.

"Sure enough he decided to do that song and not only perform the song, but use a blow up doll to re-enact me being choked.

"I couldn't take it."

So she attempted to kill herself.

"I made it home... I went upstairs in my bathroom and I slit my wrists and ended up in the hospital," she revealed in a segment named "Revenge".

The couple were first married between 1999 and 2001, before tying the knot again in January 2006.

After a stint at a rehabilitation facility, Mathers went back home and gradually rebuilt her relationship with the rapper.

"I came home from being incarcerated in rehab and he asked me to stay a few nights at the house, so I could be with the kids. A few nights turned into a few weeks, to a year. I was home a year and a half, almost two years before we got married."

Their second marriage lasted 82 days.

"In our relationship there's a pattern," Mathers explained.

"We'll have two good years and then it will go bad for some reason. It's like a two year max with us... and I just didn't want to rush into anything before the two years."

She also revealed that "him being on the road and on tour" constantly, put a strain on their relationship.

"That was like the big one and constant infidelities — all the time."

Mathers responded, she said, by having her own affairs.

"I just really wanted love and attention from somebody. I was lonely and I didn't have very good self-esteem," she said.

But there was little hope that the pair, who share custody of their 11-year-old daughter, would get back together, she said.

"I'm done."

Now rapper Akon, who worked with Eminem on the song 'Smack That', has revealed the couple are engaged again.

"Eminem still loves Kim," he told the Daily Mirror.

"They have one of those relationships where they are off one minute and back together the next.

"He can't live with her and he can't live without her. But they are meant for each other. They are engaged again."
